Dependents
If you’re coming to the UK on a work visa like the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa, your partner and children can usually apply to join you as dependents. This includes your spouse or long-term partner if you’ve lived together for two years, and children under 18. You’ll need to show proof of your relationship and demonstrate that you can support them financially. The current requirement is £845 for a partner and £315 for each child.
Dependants are granted the same visa length as you and can live, work, and study in the UK. They must apply online and can do so either at the same time as you or after their visa has been granted.
